Swinxs Game Console (Giveaway!)
Meghan Says:
When I was first approached with an offer to review Swinxs, I was a little confused as to what it was, exactly.
The press release says:
The hottest innovation in family-friendly interactive play has hit U.S. shores. The portable screen-free entertainment console engages kids in physical, creative and educational play (including musical chairs, tag and relay) by using its voice in combination with sounds and colors.
It sounded fun and like something that Dylan would enjoy, but I couldn’t really figure out how it worked. So, I decided to reserve judgment until I received it and had a chance to check it out. And I’m glad I did!
It’s really pretty cool. It came loaded with a few games, and as soon as I plugged it in (the battery wasn’t charged) Dylan and two of his cousins were racing around my Mother-in-Laws house and having a blast. The played Swinxs Dash the most, where each player takes a turn running a course, and Swinxs keeps track of who runs it the fastest. Each player has their own colored wristband, and that’s how Swinxs knows who is who. Fancy, right?
It’s water resistant and cordless (when the battery is fully charged) so your kids can take it outside and keep themselves out of your hair entertained for hours!
There are a ton of games available for FREE download on the Swinxs website, so you can customize your Swinxs console to suit your children’s individual tastes. Not interested in running around the backyard? Then download the quizzes and games that require children to stay in one spot, like Flyswatter or Animal Quiz.
There really is something for everyone!
I would definitely recommend Swinxs for children a bit over four. Dylan will be 5 in March, and I feel like he’s a little young to understand the rules behind some of the games. But he’s a pro at the ones he does understand. It’s something he will definitely grown into, though!
Also, at $150.00 retail value, it’s a bit pricey. But, if your kids are as active as mine, Swinxs will give them an opportunity to play, have fun, learn and exercise at the same time. And it’s hard to put a price on that!

After looking at all of the games, I am positive Swinxball would be the most popular in my house. My son plays “Soccer” (in the house mind you!) from the time he gets home from daycare until it’s time to go to bed, haha!
I am now following you on Twitter!
I think CircleSwinxs would be a good game for our house! I had never heard of this product before now. It’s very interesting! Thanks for sharing with us!!!
Ohh! I’m pretty sure the animal sounds quiz would be a hit at our house! My toddler LOVES making animal sounds on cue and is learning so many!!
(just started following you on twitter !! @insidedog !)
Not entering, but wanted to say that we won a Swinxs system on another blog giveaway and it is SO COOL!!! My husband and I have checked it out… the kids were all excited when I was telling them about it and asking if we could get one… but I told them it was too expensive so if I didnt win we wouldnt get one… and then I won!
They don’t know it yet, that’s going to be one of their Christmas presents, it came a couple weeks ago by FedEx!
With all the growling, barking, ribbited, squeaking, meowing… going on around here I think the Animal sounds game would be a hit at our house!

This system looks like it rocks, why haven’t we heard of it before? Thank goodness for Hot Mom Reviews.
Well looking at the games it looks awesome…..my house jukebox would be a hit…especially if they have Boom Boom Pow…LOL
Also, following you on twitter!
We would definitely play Charades alot if we had this game! My 4 yr old is always making up her own charades games anyway!!
I have a feeling hide and seek would be the hands down winner in our house. My son LOVES that game.
love the charades. what a cool new system!! never seen one of these before
I am fairly certain hide and seek would be a hit with my girls. What a cool system!
I’m pretty sure this would secure my title of Favorite Aunt – it’s a constant battle with that Aunt Jeannie of theirs!
no way! this thing is freaking AWESOME! i’d have to say my very active and crazy 3 year old daughter would probably like the dash game and of course the princess / fairy tale game. what an awesome toy!! i’d love to give it to her!! (not only that , but play it as well…)
This would be soo totally super cool for my 2 boys! They are both VERY active and now with the cold arctic air outside-it’s to cold to play outdoors. My autistic son would benefit from this as well. Let’s hope I win!
I think Animal Battle would be very popular at our house. What a neat idea!

As you both know I don’t have kids, but I do babysit A LOT! One of the families I sit for would LOVE this system. Their 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter love running and being active. The racing games and the Swinxball would be a great BIG hit I’m sure.

My sister had something similar to this but not quite as nice. I remember the kids all having a blast with it. Something that we could all do together. I love that its indoors or out. It would help keep us sane when there is hip deep snow outside.
I love it, my girls would go crazy over the story telling, and the running to see who ran the fastest, I think they would enjoy many of the games on it, but those two would probably be favorites, I am so glad you done a review on it, I would have never giving it a second glance had I not read your review, thanks so much, the Jordan’s will own a Swinxs!!!! Hopefully win but if not will definatly buy hopefully by their birthdays!!!
Thanks again,
Vanessa (jadarain2)
I think swinxs dash would be quite the hit around here! The kids are always racing each other!!
Hide and Seek and the Relay game would by fun to my 2 2/1 year old son. I love that this system isn’t one where they sit staring at the tv for hours on end. Interactive and can be played outdoors. Awesome! Why haven’t I heard of this before!?!?
Just followed Hot Mom Reviews on Twitter!

Definitely Hide and Seek. That game is already the favorite in my house, and this would make it way more interesting.
I am now following you guys on Twitter (@dashoff).
My kids would totally love playing the hide and seek game. I am also following @monkeyzmommy
My 5 year old will love this. I always have to time her when she runs.
I agree, animal sounds are HUGE at our house (I recently made a playlist of animals making their signatures sounds on twitter, so my son could listen to it)
This is a really cool thing! Thanks for telling us about it.
My boys would think this is awesome!

Most likely Charades!
I think we’d love Dark Swinxs at our house! Too much fun, playing and scaring one another in the dark while we look for our xs’s!

Oh, I want this for the boys, although I’m not sure how to pronounce it. Maybe this could make up for A. not getting the Wii he’s really hoping for. Oh, I’m following you on twitter and if I can figure out how to do it on my iPhone, I’ll retweet the contest, too. Annnnd….I think they’d love Hide and Seek.
Wow…the Swinxs is cool. My kids are ages 3-9, and would LOVE the great twist on Hide & Seek. Thanks for hosting this giveaway! =)

I think that my kids would LOVE the hide n seek game! All of them look fun and my favorite part is that there is no screen component so it is just as easy to use OUTSIDE!!!
This looks so neat! I LOVE that this can go outside!!! Tag is always something that gets my kids giggling and I’m sure this would take it to a whole new level! All of the games sound like a lot of fun but I’m going to have to say Tag for sure!!
My kids (and me!) would love the tag game. My daughter is constantly wanting to play some form of tag. This would be an awesome new way!
